Greetings from Colorado,
Today we took our bikes out to Cheeseman Park in Denver and rode around in the sun! We used this opportunity to ask some park goers what they think of the American Dream and got some interesting answers. After this, and a slight longboarding mishap, we hopped back on the road and drove to Boulder, where we had dinner with and interviewed members of the Masala CO-OP. What a lovely group of people, thanks for letting us visit and stay with you tonight!
We learned about illegal occupancy in housing and delved into the idea that "people aren't sustainable, rather that the spaces they occupy are." We also discussed conflict resolution and the difficulties of sharing in today's society. "We have made sharing illegal."
Today definitely inspired us to investigate further into the harder aspects of community living and finding viable solutions for everyone's needs. There is not one correct way to living sustainably, but many options to fit many different needs, this is what we hope to share with you all.
Nate just nodded off on the couch next to me and Soph is getting overwhelmed with the amount of footage we have already collected, so I think it's time to call it a day. Tomorrow we drive to Paonia, CO to visit White Buffalo Farm. ... Goodnight!

A poem by Eric from Masala, Co-Op. Inspired by our discussion of the American Dream.
